Chickasaw storyteller Te Ata inducted into National Native American Hall of Fame

Governor Bill Anoatubby, the Chickasaw Nation said:

"Mary Thompson Fisher, better known as Te Ata, has been posthumously inducted into the National Native American Hall of Fame. This deserved induction represents her significant contributions and impact on First American people and cultures throughout her life and storied career.

Te Ata’s courage and artistry remain an inspiration to many across the country to this day. She will now forever be memorialized at the First Americans Museum, and her story will continue to inspire future generations of Chickasaws and other First Americans."
