Fort Albany First Nation

Bay. With a population of approximately 1,200 people within the community itself, Fort Albany First Nation serves around 5,000 band members that it shares with Kashechewan First Nation.

The community is only accessible by fly in during the warm seasons. It becomes accessible via winter road during the months from late December to early March.

Fort Albany First Nation is in the Treaty 9 area and its regional political body is Mushkegowuk Council.
