A program intended to support Indigenous TikTok creators is accepting applications for its fourth year.
The TikTok Accelerator for Indigenous Creators is a free, part-time, online training program presented by the National Screen Institute and designed for Indigenous creators in Canada to gain digital skills.
According to a press release, “the curriculum has been developed with both traditional and spiritual elements in mind, aiming to empower Indigenous creators to grow their TikTok presence and learn the essential skills for a thriving digital career.”
Participants will learn from industry experts, Indigenous creators and members of the TikTok team. Virtual session topics include TikTok best practices, understanding analytics, community and career building, monetizing content, and digital wellbeing and safety.
This year, the accelerator program will accept up to 300 qualified participants, an increase from 40 participants in previous years.
